New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo was limited in a Week 2 defeat against the Los Angeles Rams on Monday night. He carried the ball 12 times for 36 yards and caught all four passes thrown his way for another 19, leaving him at 55 total yards from 16 touches.
The Giants lost starting quarterback Jaxson Dart to a knee injury on the game's opening drive, which disrupted the offensive plan and made it difficult to establish the run. Skattebo remained the top option in the backfield, but New York split work between other runners as well.
Najee Harris and Devin Singletary combined for seven carries, only five fewer than Skattebo received. Harris was also the back deployed near the goal line, taking handoffs inside the Rams' 5-yard line.
