Fever coach Stephanie White still questions foul call on Aliyah Boston

Indiana's coach said replay angles did not show contact after her challenge of Aliyah Boston's fourth foul was upheld in a loss to Washington.

Indiana Fever head coach Stephanie White said she saw no evidence of the contact officials described after a foul call on Aliyah Boston was upheld on review Sunday. Boston was whistled for her fourth foul with 6:35 left in the third quarter while contesting a Shakira Austin shot against the Washington Mystics.

White challenged the call, but officials confirmed it after reviewing the sequence. "They said she hit her on the arm," White said. "From all of our angles, we didn't see that."

The foul trouble limited Boston to 19 minutes in the 93-77 loss. She finished with seven points, six rebounds and five assists, while Washington's Kiki Iriafen scored 21 points and Shakira Austin added 20.

The defeat snapped Indiana's three-game winning streak, dropping the Fever to 27-15 and fifth in the WNBA standings with two regular-season games remaining. Indiana trails Atlanta in the race for the No. 4 seed and hosts Minnesota on Tuesday and Thursday.
