United are tracking Tyrick Mitchell as a left-back target for 2027, but Crystal Palace intend to keep the defender, per Football Insider.

Manchester United are monitoring Crystal Palace left-back Tyrick Mitchell as they look to strengthen the position in 2027, according to Football Insider. The club failed to sign a left-back this summer after focusing its spending on midfield, bringing in Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Carlos Baleba following Casemiro's departure.

Mitchell, 27, came through Palace's academy after joining in 2016 and broke into the senior side in 2020. He recorded three goals and four assists in 55 games last season as Palace won the Conference League, and he has scored twice in six games this campaign while starting every match. His contract runs out in less than 12 months.

United had previously identified Newcastle's Lewis Hall and Barcelona's Alejandro Balde as left-back options and are expected to renew their pursuit next year. The report indicates United value Mitchell's Premier League experience, which spans more than 200 appearances.

Palace, however, are reported to be doing everything they can to keep the defender. Liverpool and Chelsea are also named as suitors for Mitchell.
