Three young quarterbacks went down in Week 2, headlining a long injury list across the NFL.
Week 2 of the 2026 NFL season was rough on quarterbacks. Chicago's Caleb Williams, Washington's Jayden Daniels and the New York Giants' Jaxson Dart all left games with injuries.
Williams was carted off in the fourth quarter of Chicago's loss to Minnesota after going down on a rollout. The Bears list him as day-to-day with a hamstring injury, and head coach Ben Johnson has not ruled him out for Week 3.
Daniels dislocated his elbow in Washington's loss to Dallas, an injury similar to one that cost him time in 2025. He has already been ruled out for Week 3 while doctors determine a recovery timeline, with Marcus Mariota set to start in his place.
Dart hurt his knee on a first-quarter hit and did not return, though initial reports point to a sprained MCL. Giants pass rusher Brian Burns also left with a leg injury and awaits an official diagnosis.
Elsewhere, San Francisco lost receivers DeMarcus Robinson (high ankle sprain, three to six weeks) and Mike Evans (hip) against Miami. Green Bay's Jayden Reed suffered a back injury with no timetable yet. Other notable injuries include Atlanta's AJ Terrell (groin), Indianapolis' Alec Pierce (foot), Seattle's Jadarian Price (chest), Philadelphia's Saquon Barkley (stinger) and Dallas Goedert (knee), and Pittsburgh's Rico Dowdle (toe).
