Louisville a 12.5-Point Favorite Against Wake Forest in ACC Matchup

Louisville, fresh off a 41-31 win over SMU, opens as a double-digit home favorite against Wake Forest on Saturday at noon ET on ESPN.

Louisville enters Saturday's ACC contest against Wake Forest as a 12.5-point favorite, according to FanDuel. The Cardinals improved to 2-1 with a 41-31 victory over SMU this past weekend and are 3-0 against the spread, one of only 20 FBS teams with a perfect mark in that category.

Wake Forest arrives at 1-2 against the spread after falling 33-20 to Miami, its first loss of the season. Quarterback Gio Lopez threw for 312 yards and three touchdowns in that game, but turnovers and miscues prevented the Demon Deacons from cutting the deficit below 11 points.

The two programs met every year from 2014 through 2022 but have not played since. Louisville holds a 7-3 edge in the all-time series and has won three of the last four meetings.

Kickoff is set for noon ET Saturday at L&N Stadium, where the Cardinals are 2-0 this season. The game airs nationally on ESPN and follows College GameDay, which will broadcast from Knoxville ahead of Tennessee's game against No. 1 Texas.
