Analyst Suggests Colts Trade for Eagles Wide Receiver Elijah Moore

A Bleacher Report proposal has Indianapolis targeting Philadelphia's Elijah Moore as Alec Pierce deals with a recurring heel injury.

The Indianapolis Colts sit at 0-2 after losses to the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs, and injuries are mounting at wide receiver. Alec Pierce is dealing with a heel issue that has been a problem for him before, leaving the team thin at the position.

Bleacher Report's Moe Moton suggested Indianapolis look to the Philadelphia Eagles for help. His proposed target is Elijah Moore, a 26-year-old receiver who has not dressed for either of Philadelphia's first two games and currently sits seventh on the depth chart.

Moton wrote that the Colts would need reinforcements if Pierce and Allen are unavailable, and that Moore would not cost much in trade compensation while still offering upside.

Moore was a second-round pick, 34th overall, in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Ole Miss. He began his career with the New York Jets, moved to the Cleveland Browns in 2023, and later spent time with the Buffalo Bills before signing a one-year deal with the Eagles in March.

Last season, Moore caught nine passes for 112 yards and rushed six times for 24 yards over nine games. In 2024, he recorded 61 receptions for 538 yards and one touchdown.

The Colts host the Houston Texans in Week 3 on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 1 p.m. ET at Lucas Oil Stadium.
