Minnesota High School Soccer Coaches Association releases Sept. 21 state polls

The association's latest rankings place Academy of Holy Angels, Southwest Christian, Blake, Hill-Murray, Wayzata and Rosemount atop six statewide lists.

The Minnesota High School Soccer Coaches Association issued its latest set of state rankings on Sept. 21. Six top-10 lists were included in the release, with several programs earning No. 1 positions.

Academy of Holy Angels leads the first list, followed by Breck School, St. Croix Prep, St. Paul Academy and Southwest Christian. Rounding out that top 10 are Minnehaha Academy, Lourdes, Tri-City United, St. Paul Humboldt and Holy Family Catholic.

Other No. 1 teams across the release are Hill-Murray, Wayzata, Southwest Christian, Blake and Rosemount. Wayzata's list features Edina, Eagan, Eden Prairie and Duluth East close behind, while Rosemount's list has Lakeville North, Edina, Wayzata and Eagan in the next four spots.

Second-ranked teams in the remaining lists include St. Anthony Village, Providence, Hill-Murray and Lakeville North. Schools such as Orono, Totino Grace, Benilde-St. Margaret's, Minnetonka and Stillwater also appear in the top 10s.

Several programs received votes but fell outside the top 10, including Cretin-Derham Hall, Mahtomedi, Prior Lake, Shakopee, Woodbury and Brainerd.
